Day 0
Arrival and transfer to the sunset hotel.
Day 1: Azoueiga Sand Dunes
Experience real off-road driving as you navigate through the vast Mauritanian desert. Stop for a traditional local lunch amidst the stunning sand dunes. Continue to Azoueiga, the country’s highest sand dune, where you’ll take in the breathtaking views.
This area is surrounded by desert beauty. Between the giant, soft dunes, nearby oasis, and shadowing mountains, Azoueiga is perfect for setting up a camp site and enjoying the natural desert scenery.
Azoueiga is a historically nomadic region and has served as a landmark for desert travelers as a well-known water source.

Day 2: Terjit Oasis
Embark on another thrilling off-road adventure through the Sahara, taking in panoramic desert views. Explore remote villages and hidden oases along the way. Enjoy a refreshing bath in the serene Terjit Oasis before settling down for a traditional local dinner at our camp in Terjit.

Day 3: Terjit ➤ Ouadane
In the morning, after breakfast, we drive to Ouadane.
Arrival in World Heritage protected Ouadane and explored the streets that once glorified this beautiful country as a whole.
Get close to the Richat Structure or “Eye of the Sahara” – This is an enormous 40km in diameter circular geological feature visible from space.
Traditional lunch and dinner and overnight in our hotel.
Day 4: Ouadane ➤ Chinguetti
Breakfast at the guesthouse.
Begin the 80km drive through nothing but desert and sand dunes: on the way stopping in the village of Tanouchert for tea with the locals. Continue our off-road driving adventure to the UNESCO world heritage site of Chinguetti – one of the holy cities of Islam. You’ll visit the library and other historical monuments and landmarks, including the much loved Friday Mosque of Chinguetti, the national symbol of Mauritania.
Evening sunset watched from the huge sand dunes surrounding Chinguetti.
Dinner and overnight at our guesthouse.
Day 5: Chinguetti ➤ Atar ➤ Zouerat
After breakfast in Chinguetti, we drive to Amogjare.
On the way we’ll stop at Amogjare pass – look at prehistoric paintings left 6000 years ago as well as incredible lava formation.
Lunch in Atar at local restaurants. After lunch, we drive to Zouerat city for the iron ore Train.
Dinner in the Restaurant in Zouerat. Overnight in the Hotel Zouerat.
Day 6: Zouerat ➤ Choum
After breakfast, we visit Zouerat, and we prepare for the train. we have lunch in restaurants after Lunch we go to the train station for the train.
5 hours on Train Zouerat until Choum after the train we drive 2 hours to Atar
Dinner in Atar.
Overnight in the Etoile du Nord in Atar.
Day 7: Atar ➤ Nouakchott
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive back to Nouakchott
the capital city.
Visit the fish market, where you can witness the bustling trade of fresh seafood.
Explore the camel market, where you can observe and interact with these majestic animals. Visit the National Museum in Nouakchott to delve into Mauritania’s history and culture.
Lunch and dinner in a restaurant.
This marks the end of the tour. Transportation to the airport is provided as needed.
