The Banc d’Agruin sanctuary became a world Heritage site where land and sea merge home of millions of migratory birds the world’s largest concentration of monk seals observed since the 15th century.
This site is one of the largest breeding grounds for birds in Africa. There were more than two million birds, and more than a hundred species (pelicans, flamingos, herons, and more).
