The Train of the desert that has repeatedly been the subject of television documentaries travels on the only existing railway linking Nouadhibou to Zouerate. This is basically an industrial voice for the transportation of the iron ore but travelers are accepted.
This Train of the desert is the longest in the world with 200 cars over a length of 2 km , the heaviest with its 20000 tons and the slower with 15-18 hours of travel for a distance of 650 km there are three trains par day.
